Spyderco Delica 4 Lightweight Knife Review

Spyderco Delica 4 Review – Why I Highly Recommend this Knife

When I was younger, I owned a small knife. It was actually a toy that was given to me as a Christmas gift. Then on my senior year in high school, that was around 2000, my dad went on a business trip and got me a Spyderco Delica knife as recommended by his colleague who knew that I am an avid fan of outdoor treks, camping, and just about any kind of outdoor adventure. Well honestly, I was very much impressed with the knife and I kept thanking dad for it. That made me a number one fan of Spyderco and since then I have been buying knives that are made by them. Recently, they released the Spyderco Delica 4, which is a folding knife that you can use every day in cutting just about anything. So on this Spyderco Delica 4 review, I will tell you more about my experiences with using the knife.

Excellent Design and Finish

Sal Glesser, the man behind the design of the Spyderco Delica 4, did a great job by coming up with a great looking knife. It is so far, the best looking folding knife I have ever owned and I agree with a review from a forum that I read in the past that said the same thing. In addition, your thumb and finger would rest well in the right places whenever you hold onto the knife. The handle is a little bit longer than the blade, which for me is a good thing.  I am also impressed with the fit and finish of the Spyderco Delica 4. In fact, I came across a Delica 4 review online that praised the knife for being meticulously finished and I could not agree more on this.

Outstanding Grip and Lock Feature

The knife has an excellent grip and I was thinking that maybe this is the reason why I love the Spyderco knives a lot. As you know, the grip is one of the most important features of a knife and I can say that the Spyderco Delica 4 indeed has an amazing grip as compared to other knives out there. It seems that the extra handle length of the knife has been put to good use although on a Spyderco Delica 4 review I have read, the reviewer complained of the extra length. For me, it’s perfectly fine. The lock back feature is outstanding as well. It is stiff and prevents the knife from exploding out of the handle while giving you lots of feedback the entire way until the opening process.

If you will ask me if I would recommend the Spyderco Delica 4, then the answer is obviously a big yes. As you can see on this review, the knife is really great when it comes to the design, finish, grip and other features. This is certainly the perfect knife that you can use every day in cutting just about anything. This is the perfect knife for an outdoor adventurist like me who needs a durable folding knife for a variety of uses.
